In this tutorial we will cover the main performance criteria so you can easily appraise your copy trading accounts.
Step 1 - In your cTrader site, under the copy tab you will find all the strategies you are currently copying, including your balance and overall ROI (return on investment).
NOTE: If you can’t see your strategy when logging in, click the 3 horizontal lines in the top left corner to open the side panel, then select the ‘Copy’ tab
Step 2 - Select each strategy individually by clicking on the name of the strategy in the side panel to view its performance.
Step 3 - Below the Investment Stats is a ROI percentage chart showing your overall equity curve. Select timeframes by clicking the 1W (1 week) 1M (1 Month) 3M and All under the ROI% tab to view performance by a specified timeframe.
Step 4 - Select the ‘Equity’ tab to view your equity chart.
Step 5 - The legend explaining the different parameters of the equity chart can be found at the bottom left.
Step 6 - Your strategy details can be found to the right of the ROI/Equity chart.
Step 7 - Scroll down to view the ‘Positions’ tab which will show the number of all open / live positions.
Step 8 - To view your trade history, click on the ‘History’ tab
Step 9 - You can then choose a preselected period or date range
Step 10 - Click ‘Statement’ if you would like an online version of the history of trades.
Step 11 - Click ‘Save’ to save the statement in an excel spreadsheet
Step 12 - Click the ‘Print’ button to save your report as a PDF. To print, select your printer via the ‘Destination’ panel.
Step 13 - Click ‘Transactions’ to view deposits, withdrawals and performance fees.
Step 14 - Further down on the left, you can view your Monthly based ROI.
Step 15 - To the right is your Copied Account Summary. This section displays your overall Net Profit in dollars since inception.
You will also see your Starting Balance, Current Balance, Equity and all Deposits and Withdrawals which associate with your account. ‘Active Since’ denotes the day you initially started copying this strategy.
